The crash also led to power outages in nearby neighbourhoods.

Rescue workers are still searching for bodies beneath the rubble, according to the health ministry linked to the army.

Emergency teams transported injured civilians, including children, to a nearby hospital.

A military source, speaking anonymously, attributed the crash to a technical failure.
