2024 Election: Biden, Trump to face-off in presidential debate

President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are set to engage in their first debate for the 2024 U.S. presidential election on Thursday.

The debate is scheduled for Thursday, June 27, starting at 9 PM ET (2 AM in Nigeria) and will take place in CNN’s Atlanta studios.

The debate will be broadcast live on CNN, CNN International, CNN en Español, and CNN Max. Major cable news networks such as Fox News and ABC will also air the debate live, along with pre- and post-debate programming.

Additionally, CNN will stream the debate live on CNN.com without requiring a cable login, and various media outlets, including CNN and USA Today, will stream it on YouTube.

CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will moderate the debate, which will be conducted in a closed studio without a live audience.

CNN’s political director, David Chalian, emphasized that the moderators’ role will be to facilitate the debate rather than participate actively.

This debate is significant as it is the first in over three decades not organized by the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates and features two commercial breaks during its 90-minute duration.
