The ongoing Student Union Government elections at the University of Benin, UNIBEN, have been disrupted by unknown individuals.

According to Dockaysworld correspondents, the Dean of Students abandoned his car and disappeared from the scene after he was surrounded by students who were stopped from voting due to school fees-related problems.

The electoral process around the school has been affected by the abrupt halt in election proceedings after ballot boxes were destroyed at various faculty polling units including Law and Engineering

The school security had however swung into action to deter the ongoing assault in democratic activities.
