Ace Nigerian musician Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid, has kicked out his colleagues from the Top 12 spots of the Nigerian Apple Music Top 100 chart following the release of his album.
Wizkid dropped his ‘More Love, less Ego’ album on the Friday the 11th of November, 2022 to mixed reactions on the quality of music.
The financial and charting success have been undeniable with Wizkid’s new songs dominating the number 1 to 12 spot on the Apple Music Top 100 table.
Other musicians like Asake, Young John, Kizz Daniel, Tiwa Savage and the Mavins crew have all had to relinquish their spots for the star boy’s latest release.
Recall that Wizkid who’d initially planned to release his album on the 4th of November had postponed it and even deleted a tweet promoting it due to empathy for his colleague and rival Davio who lost his son, Ifeanyi, recently.
Prior to the album release, Wizkid had boasted of being the richest amongst his many colleagues. This had prompted a response from another of his rivals, Burna Boy who hinted at making $100M this year alone.
