Controversial Nigerian singer Seun Kuti, has labeled Lagos state a European satellite slave port and not the home of the Yoruba people.
The singer who seemed to be wading into the tribal issue currently dominating Lagos politics said that all parties were wrong about the real owners of Lagos.
He stated that Lagos wants no man’s land as many said but it also wasn’t Yorubaland as thought by some.
The entertainer who’s known for his rhetoric on slavery and colonialism said that till date Lagos was used in that regard.
He wrote on his stories:
Lagos is no man’s land- WRONG
Lagos is Yoruba land – WRONG AGAIN

Someone should go to the airport and say give me a ticket to Eko’ and see what happens. Lagos is the official name. Why do you think only parents name children? Whoever named u is your owner in the existential sense. Without that person that named u, u can’t exist.
The institutions created during slavery and colonization still control and dominate the lives of all Africans here.
There are no African institutions controlling anything here, u can’t claim ownership. The best you are is a ‘care taker’
