I was not after Guinness world record, it was just exercise to me – Chef Dammy says after 120 cook-a-thon [video]


Now famous Ekiti state cook, Chef Dammy, has said that she was only having a simple exercise when she carried out her 120-hour cook-a-thon and wasn’t looking to break the Guinness World Record.

There were reports that Chef Dammy did not formally apply to the recording authority before undertaking the challenge to surpass current record holder, Hilda Baci’s cooking record.

GWR, in a viral report, had denied her participation in the race of world record holders.

Dammy in an interview with BBC, spoke about how the exercise was simply a thing of joy for her and not necessarily as people had envisioned.

She expressed happiness for persevering and not giving up.

She said:

“I stated this earlier that I embarked on this journey to test my capability not for any GWR.. l am happy that I cooked for 120 hours. I am proud that I never gave up,”
