IGP orders thorough investigation on Death of Mohbad [photos]

The inspector general of police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered a thorough investigation into the death of fast raining musician Mohbad, Docakysworld has learnt.

The information was contained in a post by the Nigerian police public relations officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on the X app formerly known as Twitter.

Adejobi who’s disclosed that he’s in Lagos for celebrations stated that the IGP gave  the order to the commissioner of police to deploy all resources in solving the matter.

Recall, the death of Mohbad has sparked numerous reactions with the public calling for Justice to be done due to the peculiar circumstances of his death, for which his former boss Naira Marley and associate Sam Larry have been accused.

Adejobi wrote:

IGP and CP Lagos deliberating on the death of Mohbad at the Police Airwing, Muritala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja Lagos on Saturday.

The IGP immediately directed CP Lagos to deploy the command’s resources to carry out thorough investigation on the matter. The IGP promised the CP of adequate support on the case.

With CP Lagos, CP Idowu Owohunwa in Lagos on Friday. We discussed at length on the right steps to be taken on the investigation of Mohbad’s death. We are sure the needful will be done, asap, to clear the grey areas. The police will continually speak to this matter.

Mohbad: Those who are fighting genuinely for iustice know the Police must investigate before we can clear the grey areas. Many issues have been raised concerning his death, and these must be looked into.

Fighting for justice on this matter goes beyond X cruise or media hypes.
