CEO of Marlians Records, Naira Marley, has broken his silence on the tragic death of his former signee, Mohbad, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the loss.

In an exclusive interview shared on social media by political activist Reno Omokri, Naira Marley revealed that he had attempted to provide professional psychiatric help for Mohbad, even covering the costs of scans.

During the interview, Naira Marley touched upon his relationship with Lagos socialite Sam Larry and addressed various allegations regarding Mohbad’s passing.

He went on to share a poignant video capturing his last conversation with the late singer, wherein Mohbad confided in him about battling suicidal thoughts.

Naira Marley recounted a distressing incident when Mohbad’s girlfriend contacted him from America, informing him that Mohbad had locked himself in the bathroom with intentions of self-harm.

In the recorded conversation, Naira Marley implored Mohbad to reconsider, emphasizing his worth and advising him to distance himself from stressful family situations.

Addressing accusations, Naira Marley firmly denied any involvement in Mohbad’s death, pointing out that he was not even in the country at the time.

He also highlighted that when Mohbad publicly urged people to hold Naira Marley accountable if anything happened to him, he was was abroad.
