Imo Election: Lamidi Apapa is a Member of APC – LP’s Tony Nwulu

LP's deputy governorship candidate in Imo state, Tony Nwulu has presumed that the factional leader of the party, Lamidi Apapa is a member of the APC. He said his focus is on the upcoming election and that he is not bothered about the situation.

The deputy governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Imo State, Tony Nwulu, has claimed that the factional leader of the party, Lamidi Apapa is a supporter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Tony made this statement while speaking in an interview on Arise TV, where he claimed that the APC is sponsoring Apapa while answering questions on attempts by the Apapa-led faction to stop the party’s candidate, Athan Achonu, from contesting.

He added that Apapa’s group has been playing the role that the APC wants them to play while in the party since the party’s presidential candidate in the last election, Peter Obi, was at the tribunal.

Tony also expressed that he is not affected by the situation but is focused on the upcoming Saturday election in the state.
