Sylva Claims Victory in Another LGA As Collation Resumes In Bayelsa
APC's Timipre Sylva has claimed victory in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State with 18,431 votes as INEC resumes result collation in the state
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the November 11, 2023 governorship election in Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, has emerged victorious in another Local Government Area.
The result came about when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) resumed collation earlier today in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The State Returning Officer, Prof. Faruq Kuta, resumed collation at about 12:42 p.m. today, which was about 48 hours after the election was conducted in the state.

The APC candidate was declared winner in the Brass Local Government Area, which was the first to be disclosed at the continuation of the result collation today.

Sylva emerged victorious in Brass Local Government Area with 18,431 votes, defeating Governor Douye Diri of the PDP, who polled 12,602 votes.
