Tinubu, Other Nigerian Dignitaries To Attend Zik Annual Lecture
President Bola Tinubu is set to attend this year's Zik Annual Lecture that will be held on Thursday in Abuja as a Chief Guest of Honour
The President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to attend this year’s Zik Annual Lecture as a Chief Guest Honour.
This was revealed by the Director-General (DG) of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe Annual Lecture, Chief Chineme Onyeke during a discussion with journalists on Tuesday as the event is set to be held this Thursday at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre, Abuja.
According to the Director General, other Nigerian dignitaries to attend the event are the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Mohammad Sa’ad Abubakar III who is arranged to be the Chairman of the event, while Azikiwe’s wife, Professor Emeritus, Dame, Uche Azikiwe, GFR, is scheduled to be the Mother of the Day.
Onyeke added that the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, who is the chief host, will be the one to open the event, while a former governor of Niger State, Alhaji Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu (The Chief Servant) will be the keynote speaker.
He, however, expressed that Zik’s Annual Lecture remains an avenue for Nigerians to look through the various issues affecting the nation and find ways to maintain unity and common understanding among Nigerians as adopted by Zik when he was alive.
