Terrorists kill Nigerian pastor, burn down church

Terrorists have invaded Geidam village in Yobe State and killed a pastor of Church of Christ In Nations (COCIN), Luka Levong.

  • A pastor of Church of Christ In Nations in Yobe State has been killed by terrorists
  • His church was also burnt down

The Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), have killed the pastor of the Church of Christ In Nations, Luka Levong.

The church located at attacked Kwari, a town in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State was also burnt down by terrorists.

13 other persons including the church treasurer, Maina Abdullahi were also killed by the assailants, Dockaysworld learnt.

According to Sahara Reporters, the attack happened on Friday, January 5.

Geidam is the council region where the recently retired Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali, hails from.

It is situated 177 kilometres away from Damaturu, the state capital, and is about 40 kilometres away from Nigeria/Niger Republic border.

“The victims were taken to the Specialist Hospital, Geidam,” a source said.
