Pressure is mounting on Peter Obi to drop his 2027 presidential bid and become Atiku's running mate.


2023 Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi is reportedly under pressure to drop his 2027 presidential bid to become Atiku’s running mate, sources say.

Obi was placed third in the result announced by the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.

He is now being persuaded to contest in a joint ticket with Atiku on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 presidential election.

According to a notable member of the PDP, Uche Rochas, who is in the vanguard of mobilizing for Atiku towards 2027:
