A Nigerian father is upset about the high cost of baby food, opting to feed his son a traditional Nigerian dish, ‘Eba’.
The father expresses agony in a video that has gone viral online by lamenting that the prices of well-known infant food brands Cerelac and SME Gold have soared to N12,000 and N25,000, respectively.
Sharing the seven cans of SME gold and the fourteen tins of Cerelac that his little son has already consumed, he joked that he will have to start giving his child Eba morsels since he is running out of money for food.
The father said to his son in part, “As from tomorrow, you go start to eat eba”.
Netizens filled the comment section with their ideas, where many of them where schooling the man to resort to exclusive breast feeding for the baby.
