I’m willing to resign for peace to reign in Rivers – Fubara

Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara has revealed that he is willing to give up his position for peace to reign in the state.

Mr Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, who is the FCT minister, have been engaged in a fierce tussle over the control of governance and politics in the oil-rich state.

Speaking on the crisis, Fubara in a video monitored by Dockaysworld said, no sacrifice will be too big for him to pay for the success of his administration.

He emphasized that the love he has for the state is not political but genuine.

He stated that even if it is his position as governor, he will willingly give it up for peace sake.

He said:

“No sacrifice will be too big for me to pay for the success of this administration and the reason is very simple.

“It is not political love. It is not because I want to gain any favour from anybody. My interest and love for our dear state is genuine.

“I am not trying to say I want to be one man that would be there to decide the fate of all, no. But let Rivers state remain.

“If leaving this position is what I need or what is needed to bring more peace to the state, I can even tell you people to come and take it”.
