MTN Provides new opportunity for Nigerian entrepreneurs (SEE DETAILS)


MTN has initiated the second phase of the MTN Foundation’s Yellopreneur, allocating N450 million in loans to women in entrepreneurship.

The Y’ellopreneur Initiative by MTN aims to foster women’s development in the entrepreneurial field.

Applications for the program are open until March 30, 2024, following the announcement made by Odunayo Sanya, the Foundation’s Executive Director, during a press briefing at the MTN head office in Lagos on Tuesday.

The initiative specifically targets female entrepreneurs engaged in businesses for a minimum of two years, emphasizing sectors such as waste management, manufacturing,processing, agriculture, ICT/digital services, and circular economy.

The primary focus is on businesses sourcing raw materials locally. This initiative follows MTN’s recent disconnection of 4.2 million lines from its network, affecting subscribers who failed to comply with the NIN submission directive from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
