Bandits have launched a large scale attack on the Madaka community in Niger state killing 21 persons and causing havoc.
Amongst the victims was the village head of the community located in Rafi local government area of the state.
Dockaysworld gathered that the incident occured around 3 pm on Thursday afternoon with over 50 houses, several cars and motorcycles burnt down.
The attack had begun from the market where the assailants shot sporadically before venturing further into the village.
They burnt down the market in their wake as confirmed by district head, Alhaji Isah Bawale.
There is yet to be an official statement on the incident by the authorities.
