The lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban is dead.
The two-term All Progress Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker reportedly died in Abuja hospital during a brief illness.
Akin Akinwale, an All Progressives Congress chieftain announced the death of Hon Akinremi this morning on social media.
Before his death, Aknremi was the chairman of the House Committee on Science Research Institutes.
He is survived by his wife and children.
The ruling party, APC has mourned the lawmaker on X formerly Twitter.
The party wrote:
“Our great Party mourns. We have lost Hon. Musiliudeen Olaide Akinremi, member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. Popularly called ‘Jagaban’, he was a member of the Party’s defunct Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee.”
