Suspect who fired shots at Donald Trump killed by operatives


The suspect who fired shots at former United States President Donald Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania has been shot and killed by Secret Service snipers.

The gunman identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks was neutralized after the incident, Dockaysworld reports.

An AR-style rifle was also recovered from him.

It is not yet clear why Crooks attempted to assassinate Trump, who is the presidential candidate of the Republican party.

Authorities are investigating the motives behind the attack, and further details are expected as the investigation continues.

Meanwhile, The County prosecutor, has stated that Trump was slightly hit by the bullet.

Injured Donald Trump

Reacting to the incident, Trump’s Campaign team revealed that the former president is fine and responding to treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

“President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.”

Trump’s predecessor, Barrack Obama also reacted to the incident.

He said in a statement:

“Although we don’t yet know exactly what happened, we should all be relieved that former President Trump wasn’t seriously hurt and that he and Michelle are wishing him a quick recovery.”

Also, Tesla CEO, Elon Musk openly endorsed Donald Trump for president after the incident.

He wrote on X:

“I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery. Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt.”
