A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ekene Abubakar Adams, is dead.
Hon. Ekene from the Labour Party was confirmed dead on Tuesday morning by his wife.
He was aged 39.
The outspoken lawmaker who was until his death was the Chairman House Committee on Sports, had battled ill-health immediately after he was sworn in.
His death occurred a few days after his former colleague from Oyo Olajide Akinremi Jagaban passed on.
Hon. Ekene represented Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency of Kaduna state in the House of Representatives.
Ekene Abubakar Adams’ emerged as the Rep-elect for Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, after defeating the occupant of the seat for 16 years, Yakubu Barde.
He was an ex-footballer with Remo Stars, he was once a General Manager of Kada City Football Club of Kaduna.
