President Bola Tinubu has reappointed Prof. Samson Duna as the Director General of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI) for another term of four years.
The reappointment, effective immediately, was confirmed through a letter issued by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume.
Prof. Duna, who first assumed the role in 2020, has a distinguished background in civil engineering.
Hailing from Billiri Local Government Area in Gombe State, he holds multiple fellowships in engineering, including the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers.
He also serves as a council member of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria and contributes to regional transport research initiatives in Ghana.
Duna’s leadership at NBRRI is expected to continue driving research in building and road construction, leveraging his extensive academic and professional expertise.
Recall that last week, the president approved the reappointment of Prof. Abdullahi Mustapha as the Director-General of the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency for a second term of five years.
