The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello.
He was arrested shortly after surrending to the anti-graft agency on Tuesday afternoon.
According to reports, Governor Usman Ododo brought Bello to Abuja this morning and invited EFCC to come pick him.
He is being grilled over alleged misappropriation of funds.
EFCC detained Yahaya Bello around 12pm and he is having a session with investigators.
Bello, who served as governor from 2016 to 2023, faces charges related to the mismanagement of state funds, as well as accusations of embezzlement and abuse of office.
At the last hearing on November 14, the EFCC had sought for adjournment till November 27 in the fresh case it instituted against Bello, saying that the 30 days window was still running for the summons earlier issued.
