Tinubu reacts as Port Harcourt refinery begins operations

President Bola Tinubu has directed the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to quickly restart the Warri and Kaduna refineries.

He gave the order while congratulating the NNPCL following the successful revival of the Port Harcourt refinery.

He expressed appreciation for former President Muhammadu Buhari’s role in commencing the rehabilitation of the nation’s refineries and acknowledged the African Export-Import Bank’s support in financing the project.

Tinubu reaffirmed his government’s commitment to improving Nigeria’s refinery capacity, with the goal of transforming the country from a crude oil exporter to one that refines its own resources.
