Wike issues new order in Abuja

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has ordered the immediate reconstruction of public schools in Kabusa, Abuja, saying he would lose his job if President Bola Tinubu witnessed their condition.

Speaking during the flag-off of the 9.8km Kabusa–Takushara road rehabilitation, Wike described the schools as unsuitable for learning.

He stressed the urgent need to upgrade the facilities, announcing that the renovation would be treated as an emergency.

He noted that the country’s resources should ensure better living and learning conditions for citizens, particularly children, and urged Nigerians to support ongoing government efforts to improve infrastructure and public services.
