The scheduled presentation of Nigeria’s N47.9 trillion 2025 budget by President Bola Tinubu has been postponed.
Initially set for Tuesday, December 17, the event will now take place on Wednesday, December 18, at the House of Representatives Chamber in Abuja.
This development was confirmed by senior management within the National Assembly, with an official announcement expected shortly.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, had earlier informed lawmakers about the initial Tuesday date during last week’s plenary.
The upcoming presentation will provide an outline of the government’s financial plans for the next year, following the submission of the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper for 2025–2027 last month.
Lawmakers are set to convene earlier on Wednesday to proceed in a joint session for the event.
