A Kwara State High Court has sentenced self-proclaimed spiritualist Odeyemi Hammed Oluwaseun to one year in prison for impersonation and internet fraud.

The 23-year-old Oyo native posed as a female spiritualist online, promising jilted lovers supernatural help in exchange for gift cards.

Prosecuted by the EFCC, Oluwaseun pleaded guilty to defrauding victims of $7,000.

The court ordered the forfeiture of his $1,000 cash, iPhone 15, and Toyota Camry to the federal government.
