The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced the registration guidelines for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE), which commenced on Monday, February 3.
Key Requirements for UTME & DE Candidates:
National Identification Number (NIN): Every candidate must have a valid NIN to register.
To generate a JAMB Profile Code, candidates should send an SMS with “NIN [space] 11-digit NIN number” to 55019 or 66019.
Minimum O’Level Requirement:
UTME applicants must have at least five credit passes, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings.
Candidates using awaiting results can apply but must upload their results before the admission process begins.
Direct Entry (DE) Applicants:
Candidates must possess an ND, NCE, IJMB, or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution and provide academic transcripts and supporting documents.
Registration Fees:
UTME (without Mock-UTME) – ₦7,200
UTME (with Mock-UTME) – ₦8,200
Direct Entry (DE) – ₦5,700
Additionally, JAMB has made “The Lekki Headmaster” by Kabir Garba the recommended novel for the Use of English exam.
Important Dates:
Mock UTME: April 5, 2025
Main UTME: April 25 – May 5, 2025

JAMB has urged candidates to complete their registration only at accredited CBT centres to avoid fraudulent activities.
