Police Debunks Kidnapping Rumours, Reveals Ex-Immigration CG’s Cause of Death


The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the death of former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang.

In an official statement on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, FCT Police Public Relations Officer Josephine Adeh refuted rumours suggesting he was kidnapped and killed.

On March 3, 2025, at noon, Mr Parradang checked into Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction, Abuja, driving a black Mercedes Benz.

He paid ₦22,000 for a one-night stay and later received a female visitor, whom the hotel staff escorted to his room.

The woman left at 4:00 PM, and Mr Parradang was not seen again.

At 4:00 AM on March 4, 2025, a concerned friend, a military officer, went to check on him at the hotel.

With the help of hotel staff, they entered his room and found him deceased, sitting in a chair.

The Durumi Police Station was alerted, and officers arrived to secure the scene, take photographs, and collect evidence.

His body was taken to the National Hospital for further examination.

Hotel staff are cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
