Senator Natasha reacts as Kogi Central constituents begin recall process

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has said she is not worried about efforts by some of her constituents to remove her from office.

A group in her constituency recently announced that they had started the process to recall her from the Senate.

The move was evident in Okehi Local Government Area, where some voters registered to support the recall.

Those behind the effort said it is driven by dissatisfaction with her performance, particularly on issues like poverty, infrastructure, and education.

Despite this, Akpoti-Uduaghan’s media aide, Israel Arogbonlo, dismissed the recall as a politically motivated effort that would not succeed.

He said that the attempt was being pushed by certain individuals with an agenda, and that the senator and her supporters were not under any pressure.

He also pointed out that some constituents had recently staged a protest denying any plan to recall her.

According to him, the lawmaker remains focused on her responsibilities and is not concerned about the recall process.
