Vice Admiral Ibok-ete Ibas (retd.), the newly appointed Sole Administrator of Rivers State, has arrived in the state to assume his duties.
He landed at Port Harcourt International Airport at approximately 11:25 AM on Thursday, where he was received by top government officials and security personnel.
Accompanied by the state Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, and the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 16, Ibas proceeded directly to Government House, Port Harcourt.
Upon arrival, he was given a tour of the Government House by state officials. He is currently in a closed-door meeting with senior security officers, a Federal Government delegation, and state government officials.
Vice Admiral Ibas was sworn in on Wednesday by President Bola Tinubu.
