Access bank reacts to report of worker filming colleagues in restroom


Access Bank has reacted to a viral report of an employee secretly filming female colleagues in the bank’s restrooms.

The bank confirmed that it had dismissed the staff member, Stephen Ifeanyichukwu Ejezie, who worked as a quality assurance specialist at the bank’s contact center in Oniru, Lagos.

The incident took place around 1:30 pm on Wednesday, when Ejezie was caught recording several colleagues in the female restroom.

In a statement, Access Bank assured the public that it is working closely with law enforcement as the investigation continues.

The bank declared that it has a strict zero-tolerance policy against harassment and violations of privacy.

It also mentioned that support is being provided to the affected employees.

The bank urged people to stay updated through its official channels, reassuring everyone that the safety and dignity of its employees and customers are its top priorities.

While the former employee’s employment has been terminated, some of the affected staff have raised concerns about obtaining justice.

Access Bank thanked the public for their concern and support as the investigation progresses.
