Lawmaker representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency in Plateau State at the House of Representatives, Fom Daniel Chollom, has officially left the Labour Party to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
His decision was announced on Tuesday during the plenary session after he submitted his resignation letter.
Chollom explained that his reasons for leaving were due to leadership divisions within the Labour Party and his desire to support the government’s vision for national progress.
Speaker Tajudeen Abbas read the resignation letter during the session, confirming that the necessary steps were followed before his defection.
Recall that last week, at least five Labour Party federal lawmakers defected from the party to join the APC.
