Bobrisky recounts experience going to prison

Controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky who was recently released from prison, has shared what going to jail was like for him.

Recall that Bobrisky was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre on August 5, 2024 after serving over four months out of his initial six-month sentence.

The crossdresser was in April 2024, arrested and detained by the Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) in Lagos and was sentenced to six months without an option of a fine for abusing the Nigerian naira.

Appearing as a guest in an interview with influencer, Isbae U on Saturday, Bobrisky said he sees his time in prison as a ‘’vacation.”

When the interviewer asked about his experience going to jail, Bobrisky said, “Well, like you said, you said it’s an excursion. To me I see it like a vacation, you know, vacation to go and rest.”

He added, “I have been working so hard and I think their decision was okay for me. Their decision was to break me but sadly nothing happened to the mummy of Lagos. I am still fine and I’m still good and I will continue to be fine and good.”

He jokingly said prison “fits him”, adding that he will still like to go there for a short term.

During the interview, he also kicked against being addressed as an “ex-convict”.

‘’I am not an ex-convict because I can’t be convicted for spraying my money. I am not an ex-convict. I wouldn’t accept that.”

He said he would go back to spraying money at events but would concentrate solely on dollars.

He dismissed claims that he spent his jail term in a VIP corner and not in the prison where other criminals are held.
