The Department of State Services, DSS, has arrested former Labour Party Campaign Director General and Peter Obi associate, Doyin Okupe.
This was disclosed via a statement released by the service and signed by its spokesman Peter Afunanya.
According to the statement, Okupe was arrested at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport while trying to flee to London, United Kingdom.
The DSS effected the arrest on the request of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Okupe has since been handed to the commission though no official reason has been given for the arrest.
Recall that Okupe was convicted on charges bordering on money laundering some weeks ago and had to step down as the campaign DG for the Labour Party.
