Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has opened up on his health status two years after leaving office.
The former Nigerian leader declared that his health has significantly improved since his term ended.
Buhari who spoke at an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting in Katsina said visitors have noticed that he looks better than before.
He said:
“My health has improved since leaving office. People who visited me told me I look better than before.”
Buhari also reflected on the challenges of governing Nigeria, explaining that those outside of power often don’t fully understand the complexities of running the country.
He further encouraged political leaders to act transparently and be accountable in managing public funds.
He said, “It is important for leaders to remember that they are accountable to Allah and the people. Transparency is key in managing public funds.”
The meeting, held in preparation for the February 15 local government elections in Katsina, was attended by key political figures, including former governors and National Assembly members.
