Court sacks top Nigerian lawmaker, declares APC candidate winner
The Election Petition Tribunal in Benin has sacked Destiny Enabulele as lawmaker representing Ovia South West constituency in the Edo state House of Assembly.
Destiny who was the flagbearer of the PDP was asked to vacate the seat for APC’s Sunday Aghedo.
On Friday, the tribunal ruled that Aghedo was the rightful winner of the election held on 15 March 2023.

After Enabulele was declared winner by Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Aghedo proceeded to court to challenge the outcome of the election.

The tribunal said that the election was filled with irregularities and malpractices.
It concluded that the evidence Aghedo and the APC presented was more credible.
