Cubana Chief Priest finally breaks silence on naira abuse allegations


Celebrity barman Paschal Okechukwu popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest has broken silence after he was arrested and arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over naira abuse.

Cubana who was arraigned on Wednesday pleaded not guilty to a three-count charge against him, accusing him of violating the Central Bank Act of 2007.

He appeared before Justice Kehinde Ogundare at the Federal High Court in Lagos, where he denied the charges.

He was eventually granted bail set at ₦10 million with stringent conditions, including providing two sureties who are gainfully employed at federal or state government levels, possessing landed property verified by the court, and surrendering his travel passport.

Failure to meet these conditions within seven days could result in remandment in a correctional facility.
