Cubana Chief Priest whose real name is Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, was born on the 2nd of April, 1981, in Umuhu Okabia, Imo state. Chief Priest is 44 years old in 2025.
From a very young age, he always had a passion for business. He started out as a shoemaker and earned his first million while studying at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede in Owerri.

In 2023, a Kenyan woman named Helen Ati claimed that Chief Priest was the father of her child.
The story faded at first but resurfaced in January 2025 after Chief Priest’s brief social media clash with Burna Boy.
During the feud, Burna mocked him as “the Owerri version of Rick Ross”, gifted his alleged brother $30,000 in a viral video, and even offered to sponsor Helen’s trip to Nigeria for a DNA test.
Helen also shared that after giving birth in January 2023, Chief Priest sent her N50,000 for baby supplies a few times, totaling N300,000, but eventually denied paternity. She has since gone public several times demanding a DNA test.
Over time, she’s spoken about her struggles, reaching out to some of his close associates and even his wife for help with her child’s school fees.
Chief Priest has firmly rejected the claims and doesn’t take kindly to anyone questioning him about the issue.
Feud with Burna Boy
In early 2025, Pascal and Burna Boy dragged themselves on social media. It all began when Burna Boy took a not-so-subtle jab at the nightlife king, calling him the “Owerri Rick Ross.”
Cubana responded on his Instagram stories dragging Burna right back, calling him “bitter” and even throwing shade at his Grammy win, implying that Sean “Diddy” Combs had a hand in it.
The back-and-forth escalated fast. Burna Boy clapped back by posting a video of a man he claimed was Cubana’s brother, a phone repairer at Alaba International Market, and mocked Cubana for trying to act above his roots.
He even gifted the man $30,000 to rub in Cubana’s face. In response, Cubana reminded Burna of the days when he allegedly paid him N1 million to perform at his birthday party as a backup act.
He also accused Burna of lacking peace, deleting posts like a coward, and ignoring his own fans while pretending to be generous.
Naira Abuse Case and EFCC Settlement
In April 2024, Cubana Chief Priest found himself facing serious legal trouble after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) charged him for allegedly spraying and abusing the naira notes at a social event held at the Eko Hotel, Lagos.
The EFCC accused the celebrity barman of publicly abusing the currency, a violation that has landed several high-profile Nigerians in court in recent years.
Chief Priest, however, pleaded not guilty and was granted N10 million bail, released into the custody of his lawyer.
Months later, the case came to an end after both parties reached an out-of-court settlement.
According to the court document obtained by journalists, Chief Priest agreed to enter a bond with the EFCC pledging to maintain good behaviour and to “never indulge in any economic or financial crime or related offence.”
Missing Davido’s wedding
Social media wasted no time in trolling Chief Priest for his absence at his best friend Davido’s white wedding which was held in America.
