Dangote Refineries has denied reports that it pegged the price of petrol at N600 per litre.
Reports emerged in the media (not Dockaysworld) that marketers had projected that Dangote Refinery will sell for the above price once it begins petrol supply.
But the company said no such discussions have taken place with the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), stating that IPMAN is not currently a business partner of Dangote Refineries.
In a statement made available to Dockaysworld on Tuesday night, Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Refineries, clarified that the company has not engaged in any talks concerning the pricing of PMS with IPMAN.
Chiejina revealed that IPMAN lacks the mandate or authority to represent the company in any capacity, whether in official statements or otherwise.
“We urge the public to disregard such speculative announcements,” Chiejina stated, stressing that Dangote Refineries communicates its positions through official channels to ensure accuracy and transparency.
