Edo CP Orders Removal of DPO who executed suspect in Suleman convoy attack


The edo state commissioner of police AIG Abutu Yaro, has removed the Divisional Police Officer of Auchi Division DPO, CSP Ayodele Suleiman for his reported execution of the sole arrested suspect in the attack on convoy of popular pastor Apostle Johnson Suleman.

Recall Dockaysworld reported that a suspect had been caught and handed over to the police. He was however immediately killed prompting accusations by Suleman himself that there were plans for a coverup.

A statement by the Command’s Deputy Public Relations Officer, Jennifer Iwegbu, said the DPO’s withdrawal was intended as a means to delve further into investigating the matter.

The statement read,

“The outgoing CP now AIG Abutu Yaro has ordered the withdrawal of CSP Ayodele Suleiman, DPO Auchi for debriefing at the State Headquarters with immediate effect.

“We urged members of the public to remain calm and patient, assuring that no stone would be left unturned to unearth the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

Recall that Suleman stated that he will not reveal the names of his attackers until more issues came to light.
