The EFCC reported that preliminary investigations revealed Ikechukwu’s involvement in fraudulent online activities and dubious medical supplies.

Several devices, including laptops and recording equipment, were recovered from his apartment.

He is currently in police custody, pending further legal action.

The EFCC condemned the spread of misinformation about the incident and emphasized the dangers posed by internet fraudsters, warning that some are now engaging in violent crimes.

The agency vowed to hold offenders accountable and prevent further attacks on its officers.

The Commission expressed gratitude for the support received from other agencies and the public during this time of mourning.
