World’s richest man Elon Musk has reportedly fired the chief executive officer, CEO, of Twitter, Parag Agrawal, some hours after officially taking over the company.
Recall that Musk had acquired twitter in a landmark purchase of $44 billion, though the sale had stalled with Musk claiming that he’d been misled about Twitter’s users and not accounts on the site.
Reuters reports that Musk sacked Twitter Chief Executive Parag Agrawal, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal and legal affairs and policy chief, Vijaya Gadde over the alleged understated number of fake accounts.
Agrawal and Segal were reportedly in Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters when they were escorted on Musk’s orders.
The TESLA CEO has pledged to ensure twitter is an all encompassing app that caters to different needs and becomes the worldwide center for free speech and expression.
Speculations abound that Musk might reinstate ex U.S. President Donald Trump to the platform after he was banned over his comments considered incendiary and divisive.
