Veteran Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji, has caused an uproar on social media after she was spotted at her first public event following months of reclusion.
Fans began to celebrate her return as she gave a speech at the recent CreativeAfricaNexus WKND event in Abidjan.
She spoke about Africans leveraging on their creativity and building new entertainment systems with economic value.

The event involved thousands of creatives for 3 days of networking, conversations and entertainment.
Recall Genevieve had come under fire from fans and followers after she referred to mental illness as ‘spiritual’.
The filmmaker had written:
“Mental health is more spiritual than it is physical. Rededicate your life to the God that you serve. Get rebaptized.”
She’d subsequently deleted all her posts and was rumored to have broken down. The actress hasn’t made any post for months till moments before her speech in Abidjan when she posted on her stories.
