A fire outbreak has destroyed the warehouse of the National Social Investment Programme Agency in Idu, Abuja, affecting equipment intended for N-Power training.
The tools, reportedly worth billions of naira, were damaged in the incident.
Following the fire, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction has formed a five-member committee to investigate its cause.
The Minister of State, Dr. Yusuf Sununu, visited the site and confirmed plans to assess the losses and enhance security measures in other storage facilities to prevent future incidents.
Emergency responders, including the Federal Fire Service and FCT Fire Service, played a key role in containing the blaze.
Additional support was provided by Julius Berger and the Nigeria Police to secure the remaining items from potential vandalism.
The ministry will proceed with beneficiary training to utilize the available resources.
