A tape featuring billionaire rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs brutally beating up his ex wife Cassie Ventura in a hotel has resurfaced from 2016.
The video obtained exclusively by CNN shows Diddy assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.
This incident aligns with allegations in a now-settled federal lawsuit filed by Ventura in November.
The footage, from multiple angles, captures the rapper grabbing, shoving, dragging, and kicking Ventura on March 5, 2016.
In the video, Ventura is seen leaving a hotel room and heading to the elevators. Combs, wrapped in a towel, chases after her, grabs her by the neck, throws her to the floor, and kicks her. He then retrieves a purse and suitcase, kicks her again as she lies motionless, and briefly drags her by her sweatshirt.
Ventura eventually stands, picks up items, and moves towards a phone near the elevators. Combs returns, shoves her, and throws an object at her before walking away. The video ends as an elevator door opens and someone exits.
Ventura’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, stated that the video further confirms Combs’ “disturbing and predatory behavior.” Ventura declined to comment on the footage.
Combs and InterContinental Hotels have been contacted for comments. Combs has previously denied Ventura’s allegations.
