A lady identified as @thedinahtwumasi on Twitter has taken offense at women taking the names of their husbands following the wedding of Nigerian Actress Rita Dominic.
The lady commented on the change of name by the actress as ‘Anosike’ has been added to her name on her social media pages shortly after the wedding in Yorkshire.
She lamented that women often had to change their names to suit their husbands which she considered as women letting go.
She stated that Rita’s name was a household one and it made no sense for her to have to change it for her man.
She wrote:
Just hours after her white wedding, a household name, a global brand Rita Dominic is now called Mrs.
Fidelis Anosike!
Why, why must women always have to be the ones letting go after marriage?
