Fubara inaugurates panel over Rivers LG violence

Following recent attacks at several local government secretariats in Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has established a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate the incidents.

On Monday, unidentified armed men targeted these council offices, resulting in looting, violence, and property damage.

The attacks occurred just a day after newly elected council officials were sworn in, following the October 5 local government election.

The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, confirmed that the panel’s members would be formally inaugurated at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
