An Osun state king, Oba Adedokun Omoniyi Abolarin has narrated how singer Davido’s mother Veronica Adeleke saved his own son from drowning in a swimming pool 25 years ago.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedokun Omoniyi Abolarin; the Orangun of Oke-Ila in Ifedayo Local Government Area of Osun State made a comment via his Facebook page, lamenting the fact that no one had been available to save her grandson Ifeanyi Adeleke from the same fate.
Oba Adedokun in his comment expressed sadness for Davido’s mom and her heroism and wished she’d continued to rest in peace.
Recall that Dockaysworld reported the passing of Ifeanyi Adeleke after he’d drowned in the banana island home of his father while David himself and his mother Chioma were away.
The domestic staff of the artiste have been taken for questioning with many including Nigerian up-and-coming rapper NBA Geeboy, alleging that some foul play led to the death of the three-year-old.
The comment of the Monarch was posted by media personality and politician Dele Momodu who is a friend of the Adeleke’s.

Amen and Amen. So sad, it was David’s mummy, Late Dr Mrs Veronica Adeleke that rescued my own son inside the swimming pool, some twenty five years ago.
I am sad, what Veronica did for my son years back, nobody, I mean nobody to play that same role for Veronica’s grandson, Ifeanyi!!! Who are we to query God, may his soul rest in peace and may Veronica’s soul continue to rest in peace. Fantastic woman!
