The mother of late Nigerian rapper, Oladapo Olaonipekun popularly known as Dagrin, has pleaded with Nigerians to aid her financially as she’s going through hard times.
The aged woman revealed that she is living in a pitiable condition and that she couldn’t reach out to artists like Olamide and Davido, because they were like sons to her too and she wouldn’t want to bother them.
Dagrin had died on April 22, 2010, after he had a ghastly car accident. He rammed his newly acquired Nissan Maxima into a stationary truck at night in front of the Alakara Police Station in Mushin, Lagos on April 14.
He was taken to two hospitals for treatment but died after eight days in a coma following the car crash.
In a viral video seen by Dockaysworld, the late rapper’s mother revealed she used to be a food seller but because of her age, it became very stressful for her and she had to quit the trade.
She is seeking between N3million to N5million to enable her get accommodation and start a mew business.
“Please I am poor, and I want Nigerians to come and help me, I used to sell food by the roadside, but the stress is too much, and I am getting really old. I need accommodation. Please Nigerians I need like N3 to N5 million. I can’t go and beg Olamide for money because it is somehow as he is not older than me. I see him like a son,” she said.
