The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), responsible for conducting the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), has officially released the dates and guidelines for the 2025 tertiary institutions entrance examination.
The UTME serves as a gateway for candidates seeking admission into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education across Nigeria.
Registration for the 2025 UTME is set to begin on January 31, 2025, and will conclude on March 5, 2025.
To participate in the registration process, candidates must adhere to specific requirements.
JAMB mandates that all applicants possess an 11-digit National Identification Number (NIN), obtainable from any approved NIMC enrollment center or through the NIMC mobile app.
This is essential for creating a JAMB profile and registering for the examination.
Additionally, candidates are required to generate a JAMB Profile Code by sending their NIN to either 55019 or 66019 via text. The generated code will be necessary for registration.
Applicants must also ensure they have a valid phone number, as it will be used for creating their JAMB profile and receiving updates throughout the registration and examination process.
JAMB advises that the same phone number be maintained for continuity.
A functional email address is another key requirement, as it will be used to create the JAMB profile and access registration details.
JAMB stated that meeting these requirements is mandatory for all prospective candidates planning to register for the 2025 UTME.
